Route 66 Park


Historic Route 66 runs through the day-use park, and the 1935 Bridgehead Inn Roadhouse. It has been transformed into an interpretive center with exhibits on Route 66 and Times Beach, the community that formerly thrived at this location. Hiking, biking, horseback and picnicking. Off 1-44 two miles east of Eureka in St. Louis County.

Rockwood Reservation


To reach Rockwoods Reservation, exit I-44 at Highway 109 and continue 4 miles north to Woods Avenue. Go left on Woods, then right on Glencoe Road. 636-458-2236

Rockwoods A conservation education center with wildlife exhibits, hiking trails and nature programs; plus 2,000 acres of forest, prairies, springs and streams. Interpretive programs by arrangement.
